With the annual drink-drive campaign launched on the 1st of December, Police Scotland have warned that officers will be out in force to target motorists over the festive period.

A new survey has found that many drivers believe that a lack of police presence on the roads means they can avoid detection when committing road traffic offences.

Police Scotland is currently running a joint operation with the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB) to tackle uninsured driving on Scotland’s roads. 

Police Scotland’s annual festive drink driving campaign is now under way, and will run until Tuesday 2nd January.
